Do you have an extra-deep mattress you need covering, or a larger than normal favourite duvet, doona or quilt? Or perhaps you have a narrow mattress in a campervan or boat? Or your favourite lounge needs that extra healthy protection?
We can make AllerPotect dust mite allergen covers for these items as part of our made to measure service – and it may not be as expensive as you think.
Price guideline:
If your mattress or doona or item is a rectangle shape, but just a bit deeper or wider than normal, it will usually cost about $50-$60 more than the same standard size to make a mattress or doona protector for you.
The price will include all the extra costs such as:
- your custom pattern,
- extra dust mite allergen barrier material,
- labour
- administration.
And if more than one item is being made of the same pattern, some extra costs will be shared, making it so much cheaper per item. Now if your item is more like Bespoke, a non-rectangle shaped item, or those with changing depths may incur other costs, like if a template is required. We welcome your enquiry.
Timeframes:
Due to high demand, holiday closure and delays inherent in our current pandemic operating environment, new custom made orders will be scheduled for March 2022. If you wish to place a made to measure order, please contact us as we will reserve a place for you in the manufacturing schedule. Deeper mattress covers will also be offered as a standard product item from March 2022.
All manufacturing is in house with our New Zealand team.

The following specifications are generally suited to all covers that we manufacture. Based on final fabric selection we can advise if there are any special requirements, or detail, that is particular to any individual item.
